Care Instructions

Treat your IVY MUSE purchase with love and it will last a lifetime!

Powder Coated Surfaces
Powder coated surfaces are easily damaged by direct contact with abrasive surfaces such as cardboard, the exterior of unglazed pots and other textured surfaces. If surface cleaning is required, please use a damp soft cloth and a soft circular motion to remove any offending marks. The use of felt pads or small felt stickers (available from most Officeworks stores as well as Bunnings) are recommended at all points of contact between pots and the plant stands. These will preserve the finish and prevent scratching on the powder coated surface of the plant stands.

Copper Plated Surfaces
As copper is a natural metal, it will tarnish over time. If you wish to keep your copper plated purchase sparkly, please polish regularly with a specialist product such as Weiman Royal Sterling Silver Polish. Copper plated surfaces are easily damaged by direct contact with abrasive surfaces such as cardboard, the exterior of unglazed pots and other textured surfaces. The use of felt pads or small felt stickers (available from most Officeworks stores as well as Bunnings) are recommended at all points of contact between pots and the plant stands. These will preserve the finish and prevent scratching on the copper plated surface of the plant stands.

Ceramics (Pots & Table Top)
Stoneware and porcelain can be gently washed in mild soap to remove surface marks.

Light Weight Pots

It is recommended to leave plants in their plastic container pots and avoid planting directly into the lightweight pots. It will make watering the plant much easier, allow for ease when moving and keep the beauty of the finish lasting much longer. Please avoid direct sunlight and rain by keeping indoors or under covered outdoor areas.

Plant Shelf
The Victorian Ash shelf that forms part of the Plant Shelf has been pre-treated. However, as Victorian Ash is a natural wood, we recommend removing the shelf from the brackets annually and oiling it with a specialty wood oil to maintain the integrity of the wood.
